Summer Film School 2012

Summer Film School 2012 focussed on aspirant filmmakers who would normally have difficulty in raising funding to attend film schools. This resulted in the film school sponsoring half the student fees and an initiative by Tom Hart an ex- student to raise the remainder of the fees via community sponsorship. This resulted in two students being able to complete the month long course and their progress as filmmakers was extremely heartening. One of the students is likely to have his film screened at the annual Assegai Student Film Awards.
A number of videos were edited for Saveact in their participatory video initiative dealing with stories of HIV sufferers and their development of small business projects.
Currently two local filmmakers and their bands are being assisted in their music video projects with the intention to broadcast.
